BRS in New Zealand!
Our first exchange with Auckland Rugby Referees Association saw Ben Wood travel to New Zealand before Christmas.
In an incredible new opportunity for Bristol Rugby Referees Society, December 2022 saw our first exchange to New Zealand take place with Ben Wood travelling to Auckland to referee with our friends at the Auckland Rugby Referee Association (ARRA).
During a three week trip, Ben officiated at the Condor Sevens and the World School Sevens, the two premier schoolboy sevens competitions in New Zealand. Ben impressed his hosts in Auckland at both tournaments and demonstrated the high standard of refereeing that Bristol has to offer.
The society is enormously excited by this opportunity to exchange referees with New Zealand, and hopes that this is the beginning of a longstanding reciprocal relationship with ARRA.
